All About C4 Envelopes
C4 envelopes, also known as Cover 4 envelopes, fit A4 paper without folding it. It measures 32.4 cm in width and 22.9 cm in height. The dimensions of a C4 envelope are exactly the same as the geometric mean of A4 and B4 sizes of papers, thus, producing a size that exactly fits an A4. It goes without saying that the envelope will also fit A3 paper when folded in half.
A4 paper is often used in creating brochures, letters, contracts, memos and marketing materials. These are all important business correspondence that requires proper handling and presentation, thus, must not be folded when mailed. Other irregularly shaped documents are also mailed using C4 envelopes especially the large ones. Often they are also used when mailing documents together with other small objects.
C4 also comes in a cardboard version that has a "Do Not Bend" note printed on its back. These are often used when sending important documents that require utmost preservation of its orientation. It could be a job application that includes an art portfolio or some photographs sent to a studio.
Another version, known as the C4 window envelope, features a transparent window in which the recipient's address can be shown through. All you need is to print the address or label on an A4 sheet right at the exact coordinates where the transparent window is positioned. Companies who regularly send bulk mails often use C4 window envelopes for their correspondence.
Otherwise, senders would usually print directly on a C4 envelope the address of the recipient and, most of the time, the business logo of the company. Some would opt to custom-print the labels on to the envelope especially if they regularly post using C4 envelopes.
For personal use, consumer printers that are available in the market allow the option to print onto envelopes. The process, however, depends on the brand of the printer and word processing software you use. It is best to consult the printer's manual first to learn how to print on envelopes efficiently. Often, adjusting the printer's paper tray and feeding it with 25 or more C4 envelopes is needed to enable it to pick the envelope and commence the printing. Again, it will all depend on the machine you are using so if you lack ample experience with desktop printing and if you do not have enough patience to engage in a trial-and-error struggle with your printer, then opt to spend a little by paying someone else to print the envelopes for you.

got scouted by an agency on oxford street the other day, 2 days later got a phone call saying they like my image and would i be interested in working for them..asked questions such as do i have any experience..(no)..acting..(no)...can i dance..(no)..but they are still interested and feel i have potential! Then ask if i have any professional photos i could submit for my portfolio..of course i don't. so she goes to speak to her manager for 5 minutes to see if they can help me. she is so pleased to let me know her manager likes my image so much she will fund my trip to an exclusive photographic studio where they will take my profesional photos, do my hair (toni and guy) and make up (Mac). i just have to pay for the copywrite/ ownership of my images which is around £70 for each image (4 0r 5 will be required.. so i'll be paying around £350). checked agency web site..very good, but couldn't find the studio on web. Letter from both institutions came in same envelope, same frank.... scam?
If you have to pay for anything, it's almost always a scam.
