Advice on how to mail a poster (to reduce risk of damage)?
The poster is about 24" x 11" and I want to mail it flat. Thanks.
The poster is thin cardboard (posterboard?) and 1 year old.
Rolling it would be best if it isn't framed already. The recipient unrolls it, then rolls it in the opposite direction to flatten it. Mail it (rolled) in a trianglar poster container. The PO has them available.
I know you said you want to mail it flat. Believe me, there is much less risk of damage if you roll the thing to mail it. If the poster is on really old paper and will crumble if rolled, this does not apply. In that case, sandwich it between four pieces of corrugated cardboard for stability. First however, package your poster in cloth layers or soft paper layers to protect it from the cardboard.
