Most popular gay beach in Sitges and Costa Brava
Sitges is the best destination in Catalonia for gay people to spend your holidays. There are wonderful beaches exclusively for gay users or mixed. However, Sitges is not the only place to find a gay beach. Along the Costa Brava there are other popular beaches whose most users belong to the gay community.
I'd like to introduce you to the three most important gay beaches in Sitges. You can find them between the Terramar hotel and the parish church, where there are the other six most wonderful beaches in Spain.
- Playa del Muerto
This beach is gay & mixed nudist/naturist. To get there you can get a taxi to the disco Atlantida and walk 10 minutes or walk 50 minutes from the center of town. You can also get there by bicycle, The first beach is mixed and you can get there walking past the disco for about 10 minutes. A little bit pebbly beach with a bar where you can have a wide range of snacks and drinks. The second beach is exclusively gay, with a small bar, too, but more pebbly! - Playa De Las Balmins
It's a gay & mixed nudist/naturist beach. It takes just a 10-minute walk from the town center. The nudist beach goes beyond the church at Platja Sant Sebastia, Platja dels Balmins and Platja d'Aiguadolc. - Playa De la Bassa Rodona
You can get there with a five-minute walk from the city center. It is situated between the Life Guard Station and the Picnic restaurant. It is the main gay beach of the town. Users go there daily, but it is crowded at the peak season. There are beach hawkers and masseurs who will constantly bombard you with their offers of continuous refreshments and various massage treatments.
As I told you before, there are other good gay beaches on the Costa Brava. While singles prefer going to Barcelona and Sitges, Costa Brava is a more suitable place for couples. Some of the nicest beaches are the following:
- Boadella beach
In Lloret de Mar, you can find a mostly nude, gay-friendly area descending on the left of this beach. - Empuriabrava beach
At the mouth of the river Muga, there is a nude gay-popular beach. - Los Pinos beach
Located in the town of Blanes, this beach is at the end of the campsites to the right, on the mouth of the Tordera River. - Sant Marti d'Empuries beach
Go past the steel bridge and you'll be in the gayest section of the beach. - Sant Pere Pescador beach
The gay section is to be found between the sand dunes.
I invite you to come to the Catalan coast and enjoy your holidays spending your time at these wonderful beaches. I'm sure you won't get disappointed. There are nice apartments to stay with your friends or family at Sitges Apartments and Costa Brava apartments.
