It seldom has any long in-depth articles like Playboy, so you can pick it up anywhere and not get too absorbed. Here are some titles just to give you some examples of some of their articles. How to Fight a Duel, complete with history as well as the best ways to incite a challenge out of someone in the modern age, how to sneak into any sporting event, how to spot a 'fake' woman in a bar to avoid recreating an embarrassing scene from the "Crying Game". Like many women magazines some articles are clearly only aimed at one sex. It could be argued that this is not a gender specific article but after reading it it becomes clear that this is telling men where to travel if you want to improve your odds of finding a woman.

Other regular features include the best of sports, gadgets, health and fitness, fashion, sex and humor. Maxim Magazine is similar to Playboy, Penthouse and most other Magazines. Writing a magazine/fanzine with stories. How can I protect them from someone making a movie or tv show based
I just read a court case in my class about how this movie (famous) pretty much STOLE the storyline of this book. Yeah the book wasn't in print. i even tried to look for it on amazon and didn't see it. I think the people pretty much took everything the plot, location, storyline, even a couple of names.
How can that happen and I'm writing my own stories for a small magazine. I know it's a great couple of stories but how can i protect them from someone taking them? (I know i sound like i'm all that I know, but say this was J.K. Rowling and she wrote and self published a small print run of a magazine and Harry Potter was one of the stories. Just saying hypothetically. what should you do to protect yourself)
You can pay to register your idea with The Writer's Guild. That is about the most secure thing that you can do.
The case you mention is pretty blatant. But just remember that it doesn't take too awfully many changes for one story to be something completely different and thereby very difficult to prove in court.
You should also remember Persi's Rule #2 - NO copyright is worth a darn without a very expensive lawyer to back it up.
Is it worth it to you? You could end up winning, but the odds are if you are going up against a big production company, you will lose because they will come at you with big guns in terms of lawyers. Then it will just end up costing you money.
The best possible thing for you to do is not post anything online and don't "share" with people in places like this who ask "can you send it to me to read?" I stopped posting things online long ago. Pax-C
