Use prepaid legal services to protect your real estate business

As you grow your real estate business, you will have to take certain safeguards. One thing you will have to protect yourself against is identity theft. Remember, someone can take your identity and they can commit crimes in your name and take your money.

You know how easy it is to walk into a post office fill out that little change of address for a few days you can start getting people’s information like medical bills or their insurance which uses your social security number as an identification number? Once you have somebody’s social security number, their name, what can you do to their life. It’s just horrible. You need protection against this. When flipping houses for profit, it should be a mandate.

That is one of the things that Prepaid Legal covers for us.

They can review your contracts or documents. They can make phone calls on your behalf. They can get your will done. They can do a lot for you at no extra charge other than your monthly fee.

They can do trial defense services. So if you’re sued civilly or in a work related criminal suit, they can handle it for you. That’s a great service to have.

If the IRS audits you, Prepaid Legal can get you 50 hours with a tax attorney. That’s powerful because tax attorneys cost generally around $600 an hour. That is because tax laws change every single year.

They can do countless things for you. You can get the best attorneys in every area of law all across the United States to help you out.

I use this company. It is a great way to feel safe. You will need their protection as you grow in this business. You probably need it now.

Are Hotel non refundable deposits legal if 12 weeks notice is given?

I recently booked a one night stay at an hotel in Norfolk, for the evening of 2nd October 2011. I have paid a "non refundable" deposit of £50. We have changed our plans and I rang the hotel to cancel the reservation giving 12 weeks notice. Is it legal for the hotel to maintain the Non refundable policy?
Many thanks for your advice
best regards
Alan

Yes, nonrefundable deposits are legal. You made a contract with the hotel, and part of the contract was that the deposit would not be refunded. Next time, make sure of your plans before you put down a nonrefundable deposit.
