Eating Disorder During Her Pregnancy
Eating disorders that may occur are anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating "(as many food in the shortest possible time). These eating disorders are actually dangerous for both the pregnant woman and the unborn child. Women with eating disorders have additional medical help their pregnancy as healthy as possible to bear. The body of a pregnant woman during her pregnancy, just one more calories than non-pregnant, so the development of the child support. If you are not eating enough and / or associated with extreme sports go, you can feel very weak and / or problems with walking, breathing and other normal daily activities.
Women with eating disorders have become more quickly dehydrated and needed extra moisture. If you do not have enough calcium, you also experiencing problems. Calcium maintains strong bones and teeth, and whenever you have a lack of getting osteoporosis is a serious possibility. Damage to the heart, liver and kidneys may become enlarged during pregnancy. Complications during birth are much more common in pregnant women with an eating disorder.

Was John Agar's character, Pvt....?
...Peter Conway, the real "hero" of "Sands of Iwo Jima?"
I ask because in school, I was taught that in any drama, the protagonist carried the action, while the hero or heroine was the one who changed morally by the end of work. They could be the same character, but they didn't have to be.
John Wayne's character, Sgt. John Stryker, was the same man through out the movie. We got to see his hard as nails side and his tender, warm side, but he didn't really change from beginning to end.
But John Agar's character changed, grew up and finally dropped the chip on his shoulder towards his father, the Marine Corps and male authority figures by the end of the movie.
Applying literary analysis, wouldn't he be the real hero of the movie?
Remember how it ends? He tells them to saddle up and get back in the war, which was the same phrase that Sgt. Stryker used through out the film.
Or, am I missing something?
For example, in your definition, Agar is indeed the hero. Not only is he a hardhead, but rejects his military background in General Sam - of course, irritating Stryker to no end. But by the end, his child is named Sam and he's "marine" to Stryker. (after he saves him from the Japanese attacker). In your definition, he's the hero.

A hero traditionally has positive qualities such as high ethical standards, commitment to duty, perseverance, and courage. An antihero possesses negative qualities such as cowardice and dishonesty. Protagonist is a neutral term denoting simply the main character of a work.
In this definition, Stryker's the hero. He has the highest of ethical standards - he doesn't bang the Mommy, he has courage, works until he drops, and makes the movie. Remember the scene where Stryker fights Thomas because he finds our Thomas got the Greek killed? He HAD to do that because of his heroic commitment to his ethical standards.
One of my all time favorite movies.
My favorite scene, frankly: Stryker, just rejected by Conway and his buddies at his "baby" party, with his friend, does NOT get drunk, but thinks about his life - his failure - at least according to his standards - as he wrote to HIS son - and we found out about that after Stryker dies and Conway reads the letter - and says "I'll finish it for him"
Co-Heroes - or maybe hero progression.
Great Great movie. Agar is so much better in this movie than in Ft Apache.
You do know Agar was married to Shirley Temple at Ft Apache time - I am not sure if they were divorced yet at the next one
