Things to Learn in Business Card Printing
Next to letterhead and flyers, business cards are the first materials that newbie entrepreneurs get for their business. For decades, these simple cards have been an important prerequisite to doing business. If you want your business to succeed and get wider market reach, you'll need to have your cards ready to be given out anytime, anywhere.
But when you have your card ready, what's next? Will your target customers readily buy your products or avail of your services? Will they take a look at your card and take you seriously? What impression will they have of your business? Will they get your message easily or will your card just end up in the trash?
If you have your own card, take a good look at it. Are you telling people the right message with your card design? Read through and learn the things to keep your business cards from landing in the trash.
Size considerations
Standard business cards are created on a 2 inch x 3.5 inch rectangle card board. Creating a larger card than this size won't fit in a standard wallet or in most card holder. Ideally, people create an oversized business card to empathize their message, to stand out or sometimes because they used their personal computer and laser printer. In other words, they created their card on their own. There's actually nothing wrong with doing your card yourself, but be sure to still follow the basics and keep your message in mind.
Good paper quality creates huge impact
Your paper choice will actually create an immediate impact to your target customers. If the paper is solid, heavy, and strong, it will create the impression that your business is dependable and strong. Weak paper with pierced edges will tell people that you are unreliable. It will speak a lot of things such as telling people that they would not want to do business with you.
A do-it-yourself job can really be a great idea, but again, it can't be stressed enough to keep the basics in mind. This will help you save a bunch, and allow you to print cards as you need them. When selecting paper, though, try to look around as there are many types of paper available in the market today. There are different considerations you need to consider such as the following:
- Paper coating. There are a myriad of paper choices available today, from glossy finish to textured paper. If you wish to use colored pictures on your business card, go for glossy finish. Although the paper will cost you more, the output will surely be dazzling. If you want to be more creative in your card, a textured paper will speak volume for you.
- Space between cards. If you will be printing your cards yourself, consider a paper stock that has more space. This is to ensure that the design will cover the background of your business card templates without extending beyond the next card.
- Pre-printed background. There are some printing companies that offer paper with a pre-printed background. If you want to go for this option, think about how to make the design work with the background. Keep in mind that the colors you will choose has to work together, and the background should never overshadow the content.

How do I set up/use a monthly plan with Virgin Mobile, using Top Up/Pre-paid cards?
I want a monthly plan, and on their website, it says you can pay with their pre-paid cards. Any more info.?
Once you have purchased a Virgin Mobile phone, either from them or from a store like Best Buy, you set up an account with them. After that you just log into the account and top up. You can do that with a pre-paid card or with a credit card (buy once, or set up an automatic top up plan every month, or every 3 months, etc).
