Do you know the latest Facebook statistics? Over 500 million users are active on this social networking site! 50% of those 500 million members are VERY active, that means they are logging in on this website each and single day.
Over 300 million people live in the United States. But the truth is, not everyone of them uses Facebook. Individuals worldwide are actively making use of this website. This is a terrific change if you're searching for somebody outside of the US. Facebook has an integrate search engine where you can search for (like we said before) over 500 million people who are very active on the site.
For example, are you aware you can find someone's profile on Facebook using only the person's email address? In order to do this, you must be logged-in. There is an actual way to find someone by their full name on Facebook but it's hard. First and foremost, as I mentioned before in the article, there are over 50 million active people on Facebook. If you also include the inactive ones, you'll come to a number of probably over a billion. The probability you'll encounter people with the same full name just isn't that small. How are you going to distinguish them from each other? One way is to take a look at their picture. There is one problem here, however: Not each and every one of those people will put their real picture there. Some will put pictures of objects (pets, cars), football players or their own pictures where the size might be very small.
You can attempt and create a new profile and add those people as buddies or send them a message asking if they are the family member you're looking for. This could work as well. You can find several disadvantages to this approach, however. First is that people have started to take their privacy seriously and do not add everyone as a friend or allow everyone to send them a message. Second is they could be scared to reply to a request received from a long-lost family member because they do not really know if you're the person you're claiming to be. If that's the case, then add specific informationinformation and facts to the message to reassure them you are the family member they haven't seen for a long time.
